Fermi Golfers Prevail Over Enfield
Falcons and Raiders both defeat SMSA in three-way match Monday.
Consistency among its top four players enabled he Fermi High School golf team to defeat both SMSA and crosstown rival Enfield Monday at the Cedar Knob Golf Course in Somers.
The Falcons topped Enfield 167-186, and beat SMSA 167-239. Enfield took a victory over SMSA, 186-239.
Mike Sweeney paced Fermi with a 40, as none of the Falcons' top four shot higher than 43.
Sam Roy of Enfield copped medalist honors, firing a 39.
Fermi (4-1) takes on Rockville Monday at Twin Hills in Coventry at 3 p.m. Enfield (2-1-1) plays that same day and time in Avon at Blue Fox Run.
