Fermi Schedules Final Homecoming Weekend

Enrico Fermi High School’s last Homecoming Weekend will take place Friday and Saturday, Sept. 25-26.

On Friday, the last annual Fermi Fest will be held in the gym from 5-9 p.m., with food and game booths to help support the various clubs and teams at the school. Also included is a talent showcase of Fermi students on the auditorium stage for your entertainment. The evening will conclude with the crowning of the Homecoming King and Queen and their Court.

Saturday’s events begin with the Homecoming Parade at 10 a.m.. going from behind Kelly-Fradet on Oak Street, down Oak Street, School Street, North Street, and North Maple Street to the high school. Marchers will include members of the Town Council, the Board of Education, the Fermi Marching Band, Fermi faculty members and administrators, as well as class floats and students from each of the four classes.

The Homecoming football game will begin Saturday at 11 a.m. The floats will be judged and the winners announced during halftime. A semi-formal Homecoming Dance will conclude the weekend’s activities from 6-10 p.m. in the gym.

Everyone in the Enfield community is cordially invited to attend Fermi Fest and the Homecoming Parade and football game and be a part of Fermi’s last Homecoming weekend celebration!
