Crews from all five Enfield fire departments and out-of-town agencies battled a large fire on Route 5 Friday morning.

ENFIELD, CT — A major fire broke out Friday morning at Artioli Chrysler Dodge Ram on Route 5, bringing mutual aid from all five Enfield fire departments as well as some out-of-town squads.
The fire was reported at 8:46 a.m. at 525 Enfield Street, an 11,455 square-foot building constructed in 1950, according to Enfield property records.
North Thompsonville Deputy Fire Chief Dave Lapponese said the fire originated in the service garage, which contained about seven vehicles. The blaze took about two hours to contain, he said.
