Fire Causes Major Damage to Southern Enfield Home
The early-morning fire Thursday rendered the home, which had recently been sold, uninhabitable.
ENFIELD, CT — Fire ripped through a small home in southern Enfield early Thursday morning, leaving the structure uninhabitable, according to fire officials.
The blaze at 17 Pleasant Road, a 1,166 square foot ranch-style home built in 1951 on the border of East Windsor, was reported at 4:32 a.m. All five Enfield fire departments were dispatched on the first call, said Mark Zarcaro, public information officer for the town's fire districts.
Firefighters had the fire under control at 5:17 a.m., but the home was deemed uninhabitable, Zarcaro said.

One occupant got out of the home uninjured, Zarcaro said.
According to Enfield land records, the property was purchased last week for $20,000 by Fevzi Bozdogan, who acquired it from Hanife Kuruca.
