Flashback Friday: Enfield School Yearbook Pages

ENFIELD, CT — Our new Flashback Friday format, featuring random pages from Enfield and Fermi high school yearbooks of days gone by, proved quite popular in its initial run last week, so we will continue to make it a regular feature. We will continue to run old photos and advertisements from former Enfield businesses in our weekly Throwback Thursday column.

The Enfield Historical Society has had a number of old yearbooks scanned and digitized, and this week we feature a pair of pages from 45 years ago, from the Enfield Echo of 1972, showing teachers in the mathematics department.

Among the teachers depicted are Michael Austin, who recently passed away in November, and Bob Bromage, who retired from the classroom more than 10 years ago but continues to coach baseball at East Granby High School, marking his 53rd consecutive year of involvement with high school sports.
