Former Enfield Football Standout Breaks Into the National Top Ten

Andrew Buanno, a sophomore at Westfield State University, has cracked the top 10 in the nation in kickoff return average for Division III players.

Andrew Buanno did it all at Enfield High School - an All-State performer in both football and track, a standout at the New Balance Nationals track and field meet, and an artist of considerable skill.

The college game has been a little tougher, but Buanno is showing signs of the talent that earned him all those accolades.

On Saturday, Buanno and his Westfield State University teammates took on the Coast Guard Academy. Despite losing 31-27, Buanno excelled with a 13-yard scoring run, his third rushing touchdown of the season, and a 90-yard kickoff return for another score.
