Former Fermi Swimming Star Elected to CCSU Hall of Fame
Tammie Repass adds a second Hall of Fame induction to her incredible swimming resume.

A former standout swimmer at Fermi High School has been selected for induction into the Central Connecticut State University Alumni Athletics Hall of Fame.
Tammie Repass, a 1999 Fermi alumnae and 2014 inductee of the Enfield Athletic Hall of Fame, joins six other Blue Devils legends as 2016 honorees.
Repass came to CCSU after a decorated career at Fermi High School and did not disappoint. During her time with the Blue Devils, she set seven school records, including two that still stand 13 seasons after her final swim. She still holds the school record in the 200 butterfly (1:59.82) and the 400 individual medley (4:24.02).

She won three individual races at the 2003 NEC Championships, setting a meet record in the 400 IM with a time of 4:24.12. She would go on to become the first female swimmer in the school’s Division I history to qualify for the NCAA Championships.
Her performance in 2001 helped lead the Blue Devils to their first-ever NEC Championship and earned her the league’s Outstanding Female Swimmer of the Meet Award. She also won that award in 2003.

Repass left CCSU as the second-most decorated swimmer in NEC history with 11 individual titles and seven more as a member of relay teams. She would compete in the NCAA Championships in 2002, and would also qualify for the U.S. Olympic Trials in 2004, ranking 12th in the country and 51st in the world in the 200 butterfly.
At Fermi, Repass led the team to three CCC East championships, and a fourth-place finish in the Class L meet. She broke six individual school records, and was Class L champion in the 100 butterfly and 500 freestyle.
The induction will take place Friday , Jan. 29 at the Rocky Hill Sheraton. Cocktail hour will begin at 5:30 p.m. followed by dinner at 6:30 p.m.
