Garage Fire Knocked Down Quickly In Eastern Enfield

The fire was deemed under control in about 20 minutes, according to a fire official.

ENFIELD, CT — Firefighters quickly put out a garage fire at a home in the Green Manorville section of town Wednesday morning.

At 9:54 a.m., all Enfield fire companies were dispatched to a house at 31 Webster Road for a garage fire. The first firefighters on scene reported multiple trash and recycling bins on fire, extending to the house siding and soffits, according to Mark Zarcaro, public information officer for the fire departments of Enfield.

The crew stretched a line and opened up the soffits to knock down the fire, containing it to the garage before it extended into the house. The fire was deemed under control at 10:15, Zarcaro said.
