Great Accomplishments Achieved By College Students From Enfield

ENFIELD, CT — Here are some recent notable accomplishments by local college students, as provided by readMedia Newswire.

Assumption University, Worcester MA

• The Assumption University Office of Student Activities has announced two students from Enfield are currently serving as leaders of the university's many clubs and organizations for the 2020-21 academic year. Justin Rankin is currently serving as president of the Greyhound Association for Marketing Enrichment (GAME). As a member of GAME, students have the opportunity to collaborate with a group of students that study and research the field of marketing, develop sound thinking in marketing theory, and promote friendly relations between students, faculty, and businesses. Kennedy O'Hara is currently serving as co-president of the Neuroscience Club. Students can fulfill their passion for this interesting field by joining the Neuroscience Club, in which they participate in a number of activities that explore the neuroscience system.
• Three students from Enfield were named to the university's Dean's List for the fall 2020 semester. Students must achieve a grade point average of 3.5 for a five-class, 15-credit semester to be included on the prestigious list, which is announced at the completion of the fall and spring semesters. Due to the pandemic, this fall semester was divided into two accelerated seven-week terms. Honorees from Enfield were Kennedy O'Hara and Justin Rankin, both of the Class of 2021, and Caterina Fonseca of the Class of 2022.

Eastern Connecticut State University, Willimantic CT

• Eastern Connecticut State University recently released its Dean's List for the fall 2020 semester, in which more than 1,300 students were recognized for maintaining high GPAs.
  Among the students were Enfield residents Eric Baillargeon, Joshua Buvelot, James Callaghan, Allyson Daleb, Jason DiBiase, Sarah Haluch, Ashton Hamre, Wesley Isaac, Amber Johnson, Stephanie Kula, Tiana Lamontagne, Jessica Merluzzi, Christian Osada, Garrett Ritchie, Morgan Roberto, Katelynn Scalia, Jeremy Stefanik and Sarah Theriault. To qualify for Dean's List, full-time students must complete a minimum of 12 credits in letter-graded courses with an average GPA of 3.5 or higher in the semester. Part-time students are eligible if they've accumulated 15 or more credits of letter-graded course work with an average GPA of 3.5 or higher.

Plymouth State University, Plymouth NH

• 899 students have been named to the Plymouth State University President's List for the fall 2020 semester, including Nathan Shannahan and Nicholas Shannahan of Enfield. To be named to the President's List, a student must achieve a grade point average of 3.7 or better for the fall 2020 semester and must have attempted at least 12 credit hours during the semester.

Siena College, Loudonville NY

• Stacey McCann of Enfield was named to the Siena College President's List for the fall 2020 semester. The President's List requires a 3.9 grade point average or higher.

Southern New Hampshire University, Manchester NH

• Dylan Bridge, Juliano Cultrera and Katherine Musgrave, all of Enfield, were named to the fall 2020 Dean's List. Eligibility for the Dean's List requires that a student accumulate an academic grade point average (GPA) of 3.5-3.699 and earn 12 credits for the semester.

Springfield College, Springfield MA

• Thirteen students from Enfield made the Dean's List for the fall 2020 semester. They are Mohammed Alharthi, Janelle Bonilla, Ethan Boyer, Hannah Calabrese, Diego Claudio, Enrique Claudio, Madison Daly, Miranda Lee, Caroline Marsters, Joseph Partridge, Skylar Steele, Colin Wright and Qianteng Zhou. The criteria for Dean's List is a student must have a minimum semester grade average of 3.500 for the term.
