Parkway Pavilion Healthcare Sponsoring Scarecrow and Hosting Halloween Party for Children and Adults: Community is Encouraged to Participate

Parkway Pavilion Healthcare, located at 1157 Enfield Street, Enfield will host Halloween activities for adults and Children beginning October 19.

Businesses, community groups, families or individuals are encouraged to enter a Scarecrow Competition. Participants may bring their scarecrow, fully assembled, to Parkway Pavilion beginning October 19 and no later than October 25. Construction of the scarecrows needs to be durable and contain straw, other materials can be used in addition and scarecrow needs to be self-supported and resilient, as they will remain outside. A label with a basic description of the scarecrow, participant name and theme must be included. Entry fee is $25.00, which will be donated to the Alzheimer’s Association. Entry forms are available by contacting Roxane Cotton at 860.745.1641.

A panel of “Scarecrow Experts”, including Enfield Mayor Scott Kaupin and Parkway Pavilion Healthcare Administrator, Rob Whitten will take place on October 26. Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place and recognized on October 28 at Parkway’s Halloween Party beginning at 6:45.

In addition to recognizing the Scarecrow Contest winners, children are invited to participate in the Children’s Halloween Party complete with refreshments, vampires, witches and ghouls, as well as games, trick-or-treating and entertainment. Parkway Pavilion Healthcare staff encourages the community to attend this spook-tacular time.
