Icy Roads Cause Many Hartford/Tolland County School Delays Wednesday
The majority of school districts in Patch towns in Hartford and Tolland counties will open on a delayed basis Wednesday morning.

HARTFORD-TOLLAND COUNTIES, CT — Tuesday's precipitation dropped just 2 to 3 inches of snow on Patch towns in Hartford and Tolland counties, but some freezing rain coupled with overnight temperatures expected to drop to 15 degrees have left many roads in an extremely slippery condition.
With safety in mind, the majority of school districts in the 29 towns with Patch sites in the region will open Wednesday on a 2-hour delayed basis. An exception is Windsor Locks, which will open three hours late.
As of 11 p.m. Tuesday, only Southington and Suffield had not announced any plans to alter the school day.
