Nov. 17, 2020

Another tool in the arsenal to prevent underage drinking was distributed to package store owners in Enfield on November 17th. Age verification ID scanners were provided using “Drug Free Community” funds via members of the Enfield Together Coalition and the Enfield Police Department. These scanners are quickly able to identify fake or expired IDs, thus preventing the sale of alcohol to minors. This program was organized by Colleen Violette, Prevention Coordinator for the Town of Enfield’s Youth and Family Services.
