Investigators Look at Whether Suspicious Enfield Fires Are Work of Arsonist
On the heels of the third suspicious fire this week, a reward is being offered for information leading to arrest of arsonist.

Enfield fire officials are offering a reward leading to the arrest of who’s responsible for a series of fires — the latest occurring Thursday morning, destroying a barn on Elm Street.
The fire at the 3,000-square foot barn behind 390 Elm St. was reported about 1:15 a.m. Nov. 6 and is being investigated by police and fire officials from Enfield, the Hazardville Fire Department and the state fire marshal’s office. Those agencies also are investigating the Tuesday morning fire that damaged a vacant home at 5 Martin Terr.
According to a WFSB report, while investigators were following up on the Martin Terrace fire, they discovered what is considered another attempted arson at nearby home at 376 Elm St. Firefighters also believe a suspicious fire at another Elm Street home in August may be connected to the three this week. All four fire locations are within an eighth of a mile of one another, according to the WFSB report that can be found here.
