• Spirits & Strays event to support Enfield dog rescue (nbcconnecticut.com) — An upcoming "Spirits & Strays" fundraiser at the Moose Lodge in Enfield will support Fetching Hearts Rescue's work saving at-risk dogs. On Saturday, Oct. 17, guests can attend a group medium reading, enjoy refreshments, and enter raffles, with proceeds funding veterinary care, transportation, and foster programs for homeless dogs.
   

• 180 Apartments Proposed Near Enfield Town Line (patch.com) — A developer is proposing 180 new apartments and a medical office on North Road in East Windsor, just over the Enfield town line. Combined with another nearby project, up to 369 new homes could rise along this corridor, raising questions about traffic, wetlands impacts, and how added housing and services might affect Enfield-area roads and resources.
