Japanese Cuisine Restaurant Preparing To Open In Old Enfield Denny's
Haya Sushi will offer 16 types of sushi, plus many other varieties of authentic Japanese cuisine.

ENFIELD, CT — For more than four decades, patrons of 111 Elm Street enjoyed Grand Slam breakfasts, Moons Over My Hammy, bacon avocado cheeseburgers, Santa Fe skillets and other signature dishes at Denny's. It was the last of the 24-hour eateries in Enfield, and was particularly popular with the late-night crowd coming from the Pumpernickel Pub, Katie's Cafe, Memories Cafe, the 190 East Lounge and countless other local watering holes.
The national chain closed its Enfield location a year and a half ago, but hungry customers will soon be able to experience an entirely different brand of culinary delights at that location. A sign in the window marks the imminent arrival of Haya Sushi, specializing in authentic Japanese cuisine.
Haya Sushi opened its first location at 1203 Parker Street in Springfield in July, and is expected to be ready to serve Enfield diners this spring.
