Jeffrey Y. DeWolfe, 67; Writer, Photographer, Avid Gardener, Enfield Resident
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, July 4.

Jeffrey Y. DeWolfe, 67, of Enfield, beloved husband to Shirley (Lake) DeWolfe for 46 years, passed away on Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at St. Francis Hospital.
He was born on August 14, 1947 in Hartford, the son of the late Cleon and Ann (Purvis) DeWolfe.

Jeff was raised in East Hartford and had lived in Enfield since 1975. He was a graduate of UCONN class of ‘69 and was employed for The Hartford for thirty five years before retiring in 2001.
Jeff was the Secretary and Past President of Theta Sigma Chi fraternity. He had a great interest in the Civil War and was an active volunteer at Gettysburg National Park. Jeff was a devoted writer and took great joy in the book he was writing “Through Blood, Dust and Thunder.”

He ran the Secret Santa charity at the Hartford and was involved in many other charity foundation projects. Jeff was an award winning photographer, an avid gardener, and sports fan. Some of his favorite teams included the New York Giants, Boston Celtics, New York Yankees, and UCONN Sports.
In addition to his beloved wife Shirley, Jeff is survived by his two loving daughters; Heather Rudolph and her husband Seth of Weddington, NC and Bethany Baj and her husband Eric of Enfield; four cherished grandchildren; Alyssa Stauffer, Katherine Rudolph, Trinity Baj, and Ethan Rudolph.
A Celebration of Jeff’s Life will be held on Saturday, July 4, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Leete Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Rd., Enfield. Burial will take place at the convenience of the family.
