JFK Gives New Field Hockey Coach a Win to Open Season
A goal in each half leads the Patriots to a 2-0 victory at Suffield.
Kennedy Middle School scored a goal in each half and did not allow host Suffield many good chances en route to a 2-0 victory Monday in the field hockey season opener for the Patriots.
The Patriots prevailed in the middle school coaching debut of former Fermi High School standout Ashley Reid.
Katie Zbikowski scored the only goal JFK would need in the first half. Rachael Tweedlie, assisted by Jayonna Montigny, added an insurance tally after intermission.

Tessie Brookes had six saves to earn the shutout in goal for the Patriots.
