Joseph F. Cimino, 85; Lifelong Resident of Cimino Farm; Enfield Businessman; Lions Club Member, Official for 64 Years
Calling hours will be held Monday, July 6 with the funeral scheduled for Tuesday, July 7.

Joseph Francis Cimino happily lived his entire life on the Cimino Farm in Enfield, Connecticut. He passed away on July 2, 2015 at the age of 85.
Joe was the son of the late Dominick Cimino and Angelina (Tammaro) Cimino.

Joe attended Enfield High School, where he left his mark as both an outstanding athlete and as class president, a position he held for all four years until he graduated with the Class of 1947.
In the years that followed, Joe continued to serve his community, primarily through his involvement with the Lions Club. He earned many distinctions during his 64 years with the Lions, including his election as the youngest District Governor in the state of Connecticut. Joe was also involved with the Knights of Columbus, the Mount Carmel Society, and the Rinaldi Post.

Starting with his roots as a milkman for his family farm, Enfield Dairy, Joe was a successful business man. He owned several well-known Enfield establishments, including the Enfield Dairy Bar, Village Flower and Gift Shop, the South End Package Store, and the T’Ville Tavern. Joe also maintained his passion for sports through his sponsorships of various local sports teams throughout his life.
Joe is survived by his three children: Lynn Seidel and her husband Seth, Joe Cimino and his wife Sandy and Lori Stevens and her husband Dave. He is also survived by three sisters, Eleanor Maniscalchi, Adeline Cusimano and her husband Joseph, Rosemarie Olschafskie, and sister-in-law Mildred Cimino. Along with his seven grandchildren, Ben, Emma, Alex, Joey, Rachel, Hope and Jack Henry. Joe is also survived by countless nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was predeceased by his brother John Cimino, his sister Barbara Stefanik, and David Petursson.
The Cimino Family would like to offer their special thanks to Joe’s longtime friend and fellow Lion, Jim Hosey.
Calling hours will be held from 5-8 p.m. Monday June 6, 2015 at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Rd., Enfield. Family and friends will gather at 9:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at Leete-Stevens for a procession to St. Patrick Church for a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial. Committal will follow at Old St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Thompsonville.
Donations in Joe’s memory may be made to the Enfield Lions Club.
