Joseph T. Simcic, 85; U.S. Army Veteran; ATT Retiree and Long-Time Enfield Resident
A memorial Mass for the long-time usher of Holy Family Church is scheduled for Saturday, March 14.

Joseph T. Simcic, 85, of Enfield, passed away on Sunday, March 8, 2015 at Blair Manor, Enfield, CT.
He was born on July 28, 1929 in Filbert, PA, the son of the late Stephen and Katherine (Tabol) Simcic.

Joseph was raised in Pennsylvania then moved to Hartford as a teen to attend Hartford High School. Joseph then moved to Enfield to raise his children and where he lived most of his life. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. Joseph worked for ATT from which he retired after thirty five years. He was an active member of Holy Family Church where he served as an usher for the 11:30 mass and ran bingo. He was a member of the Elks where he was a fifty-year member.
He is survived by his daughter Donna Marie Simcic and her partner Allison Dendy of Vero Beach, FL, a son-in-law William Higgins of Enfield, CT; a grandson Frederick J. Cornock of Daytona, FL; a brother Frank Simcic and his wife Lorette of Farmington, CT; a sister Anna Marie Simcic of Hartford; a niece Katherine Simcic of Hartford, and a nephew Fran Simcic and his wife Karen of Vernon.

He was predeceased by his daughter Deborah Ann Cornock.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Family Church, 23 Simon Road, Enfield.
