ENFIELD, CT — A "large disturbance between two groups of apparently Enfield High School females," according to Police Chief Alaric Fox, brought a slew of law enforcement officers onto Pearl Street in the area of Cross Street Tuesday afternoon.

An altercation between two girls began Monday night and carried over into Tuesday, including friends and the use of social media, Fox said.

One person was bitten and another sustained a black eye during the altercation, which was reported around 2:15 p.m. Tuesday, Fox said.
