Last Chance to Register for the Enfield Athletic Hall of Fame Celebrity Golf Classic

ENFIELD, CT - The 20th annual Enfield Athletic Hall of Fame Celebrity Golf Classic is just days away!

This fun event is scheduled for Sunday, May 1 at the Oak Ridge Country Club in Feeding Hills, Mass. Teams will be comprised of four golfers playing a scramble format.

The day begins with lunch at 11 a.m., followed by a noon shotgun start and a full buffet dinner. Prizes will be awarded to the low gross teams, longest drive and closest to the pin.

Among the celebrities scheduled to appear are:

• Steve Nelson: three-time Pro Bowl linebacker and 1993 inductee into the New England Patriots Hall of Fame
• Barry Pearson: former Pittsburgh Steeler who was on the field for the famous "Immaculate Reception" play
• Doug Roberts: 12-year NHL/WHA veteran who played in the 1971 NHL All-Star Game
• Rodney Smith: 1992 Olympic bronze medalist in Greco-Roman wrestling in Barcelona, Spain

Entry fee is $125, which includes greens fees, cart, brunch, dinner, prizes, golfer gift and a tax-deductible contribution to the Hall of Fame, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

Checks payable to the Enfield Athletic Hall of Fame may be mailed to the Hall of Fame c/o Enfield Recreation Dept., 19 North Main St., Enfield, CT 06082. Payment may also be made via PayPal on the Hall of Fame web site at www.enfieldathletichof.org.
