ENFIELD, CT — In his first term as the State Representative of the 58th District in Enfield, Tom Arnone has shown us why he deserved our votes in 2018, and why he deserves our vote again this Nov. 3rd.
Tom served as the assistant majority leader of the Public Health Committee in the State Legislature. He voted to protect health insurance coverage for individuals with pre-existing conditions regardless of what happens at the federal level. He served on the Planning and Development Committee. Tom continues to push for obtaining the funds needed to secure the Thompsonville rail service. He fights to get much needed funding for infrastructure improvements. He continues to co-chair the Enfield Youth Mental Health and Wellness Advisory Council, of greater need now than ever with the challenges of COVID.
Tom recognizes what's important to working families in Enfield. He voted for the family leave act and to raise the minimum wage. He voted for an $800,000 increase to Enfield education funding over two years. Having previously served on the Enfield Board of Education, he knows how important it is to financially support our schools as we constantly strive to strengthen and improve the education of our children and youth. Tom recognizes that a strong community takes care of all of its members. He has worked to defend women's issues. He voted to make Puerto Rican, Latinx and African-American studies mandatory in Connecticut schools, to reflect the beauty and strength of our diverse community.

I have been so very impressed with Tom’s consistent efforts to keep his constituents informed. He returns phone calls and emails promptly, more so than any other representative in my 40 years of living in Connecticut.
When Tom returns to the state legislature in 2021, he will bring his experience, integrity, hard work and willingness to reach across the aisle. He has demonstrated enormous commitment to his community. We need an effective, honest, persistent representative that knows how to collaborate and get things done.
