LETTER: Enfield Clean Energy Committee Has Openings
Opinions expressed are those of the letter writer and do not necessarily reflect the views of Patch Media. Opposing viewpoints are welcomed.

Are you interested in new technology? Education? Municipal planning? Saving money? A greener future? Helping your town advance? It may be time for you to join the Enfield Clean Energy Committee!
This year, the Committee is creating and launching an action plan as mandated by the Council-approved Enfield Energy Strategy. While town staff works with Honeywell to modernize our buildings and capture an estimated 28% energy savings for many, we will engage the community and local businesses with up to date information on ways you can cut waste and save money by taking charge of your energy use.
It’s not just the basic “change your lightbulbs” message – there are new technologies, like air source heat pumps and energy storage…. And evergreen technologies like power strips that we all need to remind ourselves to use. Solar keeps falling in price – but the marketplace is a madhouse. We can help our fellow citizens break through the noise. Businesses too.

The Clean Energy Committee meets the third Tuesday of each month (except August), 7 pm at Town Hall. There is an easy application to complete – online at www.enfield-ct.gov.
We need you! The Council has raised our numbers from 7 to 11 so we have four slots open! Good news though: we have the bi-partisan and thoughtful support of our Town Council and an open door to help create an inspiring future for our town. Join us!
