LETTER: Enfield High Classmates Back Santanella For Town Council

ENFIELD, CT — We the undersigned members of the Enfield High School Class of ’85 are pleased to write this letter in support of one of our own, John Santanella, who is currently running for Town Council representing District 2.

Some of us have known John since kindergarten and a couple of us, even before that. The Town of Enfield would be lucky to have someone like him serving on our Town Council. John is one of the hardest working, compassionate, and caring people we have ever known. On top of that, he is smart, driven, eager to learn and dedicated to whatever challenge he takes on. He is the best advocate and friend anyone could ever ask for.

Some of us still live in Enfield, others do not but have family still in town. We have seen how much Enfield has transformed over the years, in some ways for the better, but in many more for the worse. Enfield is not the town we once knew, and we don’t see it heading in the right direction. It is time for something to change.

Some of us are Democrats, some of us are Republicans, some of us neither. We don’t care about our party as much as we want to see Enfield moving in the right direction. John is the kind of person who can see beyond that as well. Each of us who are signing this letter are as different from one another as can be. Our experiences in life are different and our paths have varied. John doesn’t care about any of it. He sees us each as individuals, and cares for us as a friend.

We all know how much John cares about Enfield, the place we all call home. We have talked to him about his desire to run for this office and know that his desire to create a better place for people to live is genuine, and if anyone can get things done, we all know John is the guy.

So, we proudly support him for Town Council, and we hope you will too.
