LETTER: Introducing Council Candidate Tim Norris

Opinions expressed are those of the letter writer and do not necessarily reflect the views of Patch Media. Opposing viewpoints are welcomed.

It is an honor to introduce Tim Norris as a candidate for a Democratic Town Council At Large seat. Tim has been a great friend of mine for many years, and through those years, I have learned that he is a man of honor, integrity, honesty and pride. He is someone who truly cares with his whole heart and soul for our Enfield Community.

Tim is a proud father of 3 amazing boys, who all attend the Enfield Public Schools. Tim has been serving the public with his many volunteer activities in town. He is a member of the Enfield Democratic Town Committee and is serving as an Enfield Town Constable. He is Chairman of the Enfield Beautification Committee, member of the Enfield Revitalization Committee, and founder of the Scantic River Clean Up. He has coached Enfield High School Basketball, Enfield Youth Baseball, and Enfield Youth Soccer. He has held a free baseball clinic at the Angelo Lamagna Center for the past 2 years. He has also helped to teach Confirmation class at St. Patrick’s Church in Enfield.

Tim holds 2 Associates degrees, one in Manufacturing and Technology from Asnuntuck and one in Criminal Justice from Holyoke Community College. Tim’s background in law enforcement and in loss prevention as a lead Detective for TJX Corp., has led to a passion for preventing waste, and a strong belief in the need for an auditing process to prevent that waste. He wants to eliminate drugs from our neighborhoods and schools. Tim is a team player who works to build a collaborative atmosphere in all that he does. He believes that a positive team approach can and will help bring the change that Enfield needs.
