I am writing this letter as an incumbent to show my utmost support for Democratic candidate Sarah Hernandez running for the Board of Education.
Sarah Hernandez’s professional and personal life will make her an excellent advocate for Enfield Public Schools. Sarah’s intelligence, compassion, and work/life experience will be such an added value.
Sarah is a dedicated mother and wife to her three children and her husband. Sarah and her husband also serve as therapeutic foster parents for the Department of Children and Families.

In Sarah’s professional life, her jobs have always centered on a variety of educational settings. In addition to previously working at Head Start, her most recent accomplishment was earning her Master of Occupational Therapy. As an Occupational Therapist, Sarah has worked at a mental health OT rehabilitation treatment center for boys and currently works in Early Intervention primarily with children on the Autism spectrum. She also teaches occupational therapy at Bay Path University. Sarah has co-authored a children’s book to help children and parents with PTSD.
Sarah’s vast knowledge in the world of education will make her an integral member for the board of education, especially her knowledge and experience with early childhood intervention, special education and mental health.

Please vote for Sarah Hernandez, Scott Ryder, Marcy Taliceo, Tim Neville, and me on Nov. 7. We are a strong and dedicated group who can represent both Enfield Public Schools and the town of Enfield. I am proud to say that Sarah, Scott, Marcy and I currently have children that attend Enfield Public Schools and Tim Neville’s invaluable knowledge as a retired administrator is immeasurable.
