Lifelong Enfield Resident Appointed Principal At Hazardville Memorial

ENFIELD, CT — An Enfield High School graduate who has spent the past 11 years working for Enfield Public Schools has been appointed the new principal at Hazardville Memorial School.

Kristen Fitzsimons, an alumnae of the Enfield Class of 2008 who earned her teaching certification from Eastern Connecticut State University, will begin her new duties July 1.

"I'm looking forward to starting this next adventure.," she told Patch.

She has served in many positions in Enfield, including assistant principal at Eli Whitney and as a STEAM and mathematics teacher at John F. Kennedy Middle School.

A lifelong resident of Enfield, Fitzsimons holds a Master of Science degree and a sixth-year certificate in educational leadership from Central Connecticut State University. She is currently pursuing doctoral studies in leadership from American College of Education.
