Neighbor News

lifelong Enfield resident, and former firefighter, asking for donations to purchase new (used) handicap accessible van.

Local ex-firefighter (quadriplegic) hoping to raise enough funds to put a decent down payment for a newer handicap van.

A little bit about myself:

I am a 34-year-old quadriplegic, that grew up most of my life in the Buckhorn Estates development off of Abbe Road. As a child, I played soccer for the town, and Enfield high, from the age of 5 until 18. I was a volunteer on the Enfield fire department from the age of 15 (as a cadet) until 22, when I was then involved in a motor vehicle accident that left me paralyzed from the chest down (due to a spinal stroke).

I was hospitalized for 3 years after my accident, but then became strong enough to come back to the town that I love and I call home. It has been 12 years since my accident, and the van that I have now, is on it's last leg. Therefore I am on the market to find something newer to get me through another 10 years. I am graciously asking for any and all donations to help make this possibility become a reality. I have attached a link that will direct you to my fundraising page.

I want to thank everybody in advanced for the generous contributions to my cause. I would not have been able to do any of this if it was not for the help of all of you!
