lifelong resident, and former firefighter, asking for donations to purchase new (used) handicap accessible van.
34-year-old quadriplegic, and ex-firefighter, looking to purchase a new (used) handicap accessible van.
I am a 34-year-old lifelong resident of the town of Enfield, looking to purchase a new (used) handicap accessible van. A little bit about myself:
I grew up most of my life in the Buckhorn Estates development off of Abbe Road. As a child, I played soccer for the town, and Enfield high school, from the age of 5 until 18. I was a volunteer on the Enfield fire department (station 2, Weymouth Road), from the age of 15 (as a cadet) until 22, when I was then involved in a motor vehicle accident that left me paralyzed from the chest down ( due to a spinal stroke). I was working construction during the day for my full-time occupation.
I was hospitalized for 3 years after my accident, but then became strong enough to be able to come back to the town that I love and I call home. It has now been just about 12 years since my accident, and the van that I have now, is on it's last leg. Therefore I am on the market to find something new to get me through at least another 10 years. I am graciously asking for any and all donations that I may be able to receive to help make this possibility become a reality. I have attached a link to this that will direct you to my fundraising page.

I want to thank everybody in advanced for the generous contributions to my cause. I would not have been able to do any of this if it was not for the help of my fellow community members!
Thank you,
