ENFIELD, CT — Police have made a second arrest in connection with an arson fire at a Montano Road home just over a year ago.

Tabitha Klosek, 41, was charged Sunday on a warrant with conspiracy to commit first-degree arson, plus a pair of warrants for second-degree failure to appear in court. She was held on bonds totaling $150,000.

A 16-page affidavit supporting Klosek's arrest indicates she served as a driver for her boyfriend, Christopher Colbert, when he is accused of setting fire to a back deck at the Montano Road house around 2:55 a.m. on Jan. 24, 2022.

Following the fire, video surveillance footage from various neighbors showed a man carrying a gas can running from the home. He got into a light-colored sport utility vehicle, which had been seen dropping him off in the area minutes earlier, according to the affidavit.

The North Thompsonville fire marshal ruled arson as the cause of the blaze, and an investigation continued. An analysis of cell phone data revealed Klosek's phone was used near Montano Road at the time of the fire, according to the affidavit.
