Lola A. Bourque, 88; Long-Time Enfield Resident; Holy Family Church Parishioner

The funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, June 27.

Lola A. Bourque, 88, of Enfield, wife of the late Gerard A. Bourque, passed away peacefully on June 22, 2015 at her residence.

She was born on August 11, 1926 in Fort Walton, Florida, a daughter of the late Andrew and Emma (Nobles) Alford.

She was a resident of the Enfield community since 1960.

Lola was formerly employed with Holiday Inn Express in East Windsor for ten years and she enjoyed gardening and working in her yard. She was a communicant of Holy Family Church in Enfield.

She is survived by her children, Gerard A. Bourque, Jr. of Bloomfield, Kenneth A. Bourque of Brimfield, MA., Leonard J. Bourque of East Hartford, and Christopher A. Bourque and his wife Jennifer of Ellington; two sisters, Annette Campbell of South Carolina and Willene Curran of California. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Lindsey, Lacy, Rachel and Eleanor and several great grandchildren.

She was also predeceased by her two brothers and one sister.

Lola’s family would like to extend a special thank you to Hartford Healthcare at Home and especially to her sister, Annette Campbell, for the special care she provided to Lola.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Family Church, 23 Simon Rd., Enfield on Saturday, June 27, 2015. Committal will follow at Hazardville Cemetery in Enfield. There are no calling hours.
