Man Found Illegally Hiding In Closet In Enfield Apartment

The man was in violation of active protective orders against him, according to police.

ENFIELD, CT — An Ansonia resident was charged Sunday with two counts of violating a protective order after he was discovered inside an apartment despite a court order.

Ronnell Lindsay, 22, was held in lieu of $150,000 bond. He has several other pending cases in Derby, Waterbury and Enfield courts, according to judicial records.

Enfield Police Chief Alaric Fox said officers were called to a domestic disturbance involving Lindsay. The caller told police about an active protection order against him out of Waterbury, and showed police multiple messages on a cell phone asking when the victim was coming home.

The caller gave police a key to an apartment, and Lindsay was discovered hiding in a closet in a child's bedroom, Fox said.

He is due to appear in Enfield Superior Court March 29.
