New Enfield Schools Superintendent Named
The Enfield school board made three appointments in all on Tuesday.

ENFIELD, CT — Deputy Superintendent of Schools Christopher Drezek has been named the Enfield school district's new superintendent. The school board announced the appointment on Tuesday night.
He is replacing Jeff Schumann, who last week said he will be leaving the local education system at the end of the current academic year.
The Enfield Board of Education on Tuesday voted to promote three administrators to new positions effective July 1.

Drezek’s career with the Enfield Public Schools began as the district’s Business Manager in 2004. After a brief time as the Director of Human Resources and Operations for the Wethersfield Board of Education, he returned to Enfield in 2010 to serve as the district’s director of human resources.
In 2012, Drezek began his tenure as deputy superintendent.

Andrew Longey has been named deputy superintendent. He was hired as an assistant principal at JFK Middle School in 2004 and in 2010, he became an assistant principal at Enfield High School.
In 2014, Longey was named the interim principal of Enfield High School, and this past year, he was appointed principal. Prior to coming to Enfield, he taught history and English in an inner-city school near Denver and was an assistant principal in Easthampton, MA.
Erin Clark has been named principal of Enfield High School. She has served as an assistant principal at EHS since 2014. She also taught U.S. and Modern World History at Enrico Fermi High School, and is an Enfield native and Fermi graduate.
