Obituary: Palma M. (Mastrodonato) Mittica
She was a member of Holy Family Church and the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Society Women's Auxiliary, and volunteered at the Enfield Senior Center and Enfield Adult Day Care Center.

Palma M. (Mastrodonato) Mittica, 74, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother of Enfield, passed away peacefully after a brief illness at her home with her loving family around her.
Palma was the beloved wife of Eugene W. Mittica for the last 36 years and was the light of his life and soul mate. Everyone who knew Palma knew that her family meant everything to her.
Born in Waterbury, CT, Palma was the daughter of the late James and Rose (DeVito) Mastrodonato. She was a graduate of the Kathrine Gibbs Secretarial School of Boston, MA and later worked as a Business Analyst at The Hartford, retiring in 1998. Palma was a member of Holy Family Church and was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Society Women’s Auxilary. She also enjoyed her Monday night meetings with ladies of her TOPS Chapter 157.

Palma enjoyed volunteering at the Enfield Seniors Center and Enfield Adult Day Care Center. She also enjoyed playing BINGO at Holy Family Church every Wednesday for many years. Palma enjoyed going to the Casino with her husband Gene and spending time with family and friends, especially Mike and Barbara Filosa. She also had many wonderful mornings with the crew at Dunkin Donuts on Hazard Avenue. Palma loved going with Gene to Figaros Restaurant in Enfield.
Along with her loving husband Gene, Palma is survived by her children; Rosemarie Spak of Burlington, CT and her husband Dan along with their children Jason Lomnicky and his wife Amy, and William Spak; John Mittica of Farmington, CT and his wife Teresa and their children John Mittica Jr. and Christopher Zalewski; James Perrone of Berlin and his wife Stacy, and their children Nicholas, Angelique, and Alexandria; Gina Benea of Windsor Locks, CT and her husband Lewis, and their children Daniella, Francesca, Antonio and Gabriella and her fiancé Brandon LeBlanc; and Jacquelyn Bosco of Enfield, CT and her husband Joey with their children Jacquelyn, Jamie Jo, Jessica and fiancé Ben Hebert, and great granddaughter Charlotte Hebert. Palma was predeceased by her infant son John. Palma’s family would like to thank the Masonicare Home Health & Hospice and the nurses at St. Francis Hospital 8th floor for the exceptional care they provided.

Palma’s family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, August 2, 2013 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels, 43 Shaker Road, Enfield, CT 06082. Funeral services for Palma will be held on Saturday, August 3, 2013 with a funeral procession forming at 9 a.m. from Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels to Holy Family Church, 23 Simon Rd, Enfield for a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Patrick’s King Street Cemetery, Enfield. In lieu of flowers donations in Palma’s memory may be made to Masonicare Partners, Home Health & Hospice, 111 Founders Plaza, Suite 200, East Hartford, CT 06108 or the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St, Framingham, MA 01701.
