Parking Ban Placed into Effect in Enfield

Cars must be removed from roadways or they may be towed.

ENFIELD, CT — A parking ban will be in effect in Enfield from 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 16 until 8 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 17, according to an announcement from town officials.

According to the town's web site, "When the Town of Enfield issues a parking ban, there will be no on-street parking. Any cars found parked on the streets during the parking ban will be towed."

In another winter reminder, the town has a snow and ice removal ordinance that goes into effect when the Director of Public Works declares the event that caused the deposit of snow or ice to be over. Residents and businesses have a 24-hour window for clearing of snow and/or ice from sidewalks. Those found in violation of the ordinance will be fined.
