Parkway Pavilion Healthcare Commemorates 9/11

9/11 Commemoration

Parkway Pavilion Healthcare hosted a 9/11 remembrance at their facility in Enfield showcasing a commemorative butterfly display. Enfield Mayor Scott Kaupin opened the program.

Parkway Pavilion Healthcare, Assistant Director of Recreation, Suzanne Moriarty, who coordinated the commemoration, explained the significance of the butterflies displayed at the facility. Parkway residents, families, staff, as well as area daycares, United Methodist Church members and Second Clubhouse members created and colored or painted the 2,977 butterflies. Each butterfly represented a life that was lost on 9/11/01.

Linda Thorn from United Methodist Church closed the formal part of the program with meditating thoughts. Refreshments followed.
