Parkway Pavilion Healthcare Residents Award Scholarship

Enfield High School Student Dillon DeSouza Recipient of Parkway Pavilion Healthcare Residents Council Awards Scholarship

Parkway Pavilion Healthcare’s Resident Council recently awarded their annual scholarship to Enfield High School Senior, Dillon DeSouza.

The scholarship was presented June 23 at Parkway Pavilion Healthcare by members of the Residents Council. Scholarship dollars are raised during the year through a variety of events and activities.

Dillon has a strong desire to help others and is currently raising his 5th Fidelco Guide Dog puppy. His hobbies include soccer and volleyball. Dillon’s high school athletic trainer kept him healthy during volleyball season which was instrumental for his being recruited to play volleyball at the collegiate level. This fall, Dillon will be attending Lasell College in Massachusetts where he will be working towards a career as an Athletic Trainer. His future plan is to work with high school students

Only students pursuing a career in healthcare are eligible to apply for the scholarship. The recipients were selected by Parkway residents based on an application, letters of recommendation and a completed essay.

Parkway Pavilion Healthcare, located in Enfield, has been awarding scholarships for a number of years. The idea stemmed from several former schoolteachers in residence.
