Pedestrian Struck, Killed On Route 5 In Enfield
The fatal accident is still under investigation by local police and a regional traffic team.

ENFIELD, CT — A pedestrian was struck and killed by a car Saturday night on Route 5, and police and a regional traffic team are conducting an investigation.
The crash occurred around 7:20 p.m. on Enfield Street near the intersection of Broad Leaf Lane, when a pedestrian was struck by a 2012 Hyundai Sonata. The pedestrian was transported to St. Francis Hospital in Hartford, and was later pronounced dead, police said.
Police have not released the identity of the pedestrian until notification is made to the victim's family.

Patch is not identifying the driver of the Hyundai, as no charges have been filed and the accident remains under investigation.
