PHOTOS: Amy Romano Memorial Weekend
Amy's Amazing Race and the Amy Romano Memorial Field Hockey Scrimmage were held this past weekend.
One of Enfield’s most beloved athletes, coaches, teachers and citizens was memorialized by a pair of weekend events in her name.
Aug. 29 and 30 was declared Amy Romano Memorial Weekend in a proclamation issued by Enfield Mayor Scott Kaupin.
Romano was a standout athlete at Fermi High School who then excelled in two sports at Assumption College. She returned to her hometown as a teacher, as served as head teacher at the Alcorn Elementary School.
