Pickup Truck Crashes Into Enfield House
The impact caused the structure to shift off its foundation, rendering it uninhabitable at this time, police said.

ENFIELD, CT — A pickup truck crashed into an Elm Street house with such force Wednesday evening that it shifted the structure off its foundation, rendering it uninhabitable.
The crash was reported at 5:27 p.m. at 14 Elm Street, near the corner of Route 5. The driver of the pickup truck crossed through several back yards and hit two chain link fences before striking the west side of the building, Police Chief Carl Sferrazza said.
No injuries were reported, but a building inspector deemed the house uninhabitable at this time, Sferrazza said.

The multi-family house was built in 1925, according to Enfield property records.
No charges have been filed, but the investigation is continuing, the chief added.
