Picture Enfield - Then and Now
A look at an old photograph from the town of Enfield, and how that site appears today, plus a trivia question about Enfield.

ENFIELD, CT — Today's installment of this weekly Enfield history series, courtesy of the Facebook group Picture Enfield, features a mid-1970s look at Enfield Auto Supply, located for many years at 96 Alden Avenue in Thompsonville.
In 2003, the Enfield Food Shelf moved into the site from its former location in the old A.D. Higgins School. Here is a current view of the building:

Last week's Enfield trivia question was, "What was the first team from the now-defunct Enrico Fermi High School to win a CCIL championship?" The answer: the 1974-75 ice hockey team, which posted a perfect 8-0 league record in just its second season under the guidance of head coach Ed Mantenuto.
