Police Seeking Man Who Robbed People's United Bank In Enfield

Police said a man stole an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the bank in a silver car.

ENFIELD, CT — Police are seeking a man who robbed People's United Bank on Hazard Avenue Tuesday morning.

Police said the man, described as white, entered the bank around 10:15 a.m. and demanded money from a teller. He was given an unspecified amount of cash and ran out the door toward Cranbrook Boulevard, where he got into a silver car and fled, Capt. Jeff Golden said.

It is uncertain whether a weapon was shown or implied. No injuries were reported, Golden said.

The robbery is being investigated by the Enfield Police Department patrol and detective divisions. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 860-763-6400.
