Popular Enfield Restaurant Closes Abruptly
The restaurant, which had been open seven days a week, announced its closure on its Facebook page.

ENFIELD, CT — A popular eatery in the Thompsonville section of Enfield has closed its doors, according to an announcement on the establishment's Facebook page.
Molina's Cafe, which has operated since 2008 on the south end of a small plaza on High Street, posted the following statement Sunday:
"After much time and consideration we have unfortunately decided to close down today. It has been an amazing journey and we have been blessed with the best regulars and employees around. Thank you so much to everyone that supported us and joined us in our venture, we appreciate you beyond words. Now we just wish everyone the best of luck in their futures, and may we meet again."

The restaurant had been open seven days a week, and was noted for serving breakfast items all day long.
Sergio Molina, 42, who owns both the restaurant and plaza, has been incarcerated since late September awaiting prosecution in U.S. District Court in Newark, N.J. on charges of participating in a heroin and cocaine trafficking ring. He also has a fourth-degree sexual assault charge pending in Enfield Superior Court.
