ENFIELD, CT — A prisoner was found to be in possession of cocaine at Enfield Superior Court Monday morning, prompting a brief concern that some courthouse marshals may have been exposed to fentanyl, according to police.

Around 10:30 a.m., police and emergency officials were called to the Phoenix Avenue courthouse amid concerns that the unidentified prisoner may have exposed three marshals to fentanyl. None of the marshals required hospitalization, police said.

Enfield Police Chief Alaric Fox said the substance turned out to be cocaine, and the incident was not considered a haz-mat situation.
