Pro Wrestling Show in Enfield to Aid Hurricane Victims
The legendary Mick Foley, Jimmy Hart and other former WWE superstars are joining Blitzkrieg! Pro for a benefit show entitled "Unity."

ENFIELD, CT — One of the biggest superstars in professional wrestling history will be venturing to Enfield on Oct. 7 to participate in a benefit show organized to aid victims of Hurricane Harvey.
Mick Foley, who in his various personas of Cactus Jack, Mankind and Dude Love was three-time WWE champion, a multi-time best-selling author and 2013 inductee into the WWE Hall of Fame, will be participating in Blitzkrieg! Pro Wrestling's show, "Unity," at the former Fermi High School.
Foley, who over time evolved into one of the most beloved personalities in the business, will be appearing at "Unity" in a non-wrestling role, meeting fans, posing for photos and signing autographs.

"I am very excited to be part of the Blitzkrieg! show in Enfield," Foley said in a text message Thursday. "Not only will we be raising money for those families affected by Hurricane Harvey, but it will be my first time on the road since having my knee replaced on September 11th. So it's not only a great cause, but a great chance for me to get out of the house!"
Information about special VIP packages, including an intimate Q&A session and meet-and-greet with Foley, is available at www.blitzkriegpro.com.

Proceeds from "Unity" will be donated to the Salvation Army, which has one of the highest rates of donation dollars actually reaching those in need of any charitable organization in the country.
"Simply put, we chose the Salvation Army because 93 cents of every dollar goes to the people," Blitzkrieg! owner Jeremy Leary said. "I'm sure that a lot of us wrestlers would drop everything and go help if our day-to-day lives allowed it. Unfortunately, that's not the case for most of us. So, this is something that we can do to help. So we're gonna do it 110 percent."
Foley will be joined in Enfield by another Hall of Famer: Jimmy Hart, whose ever-present megaphone and machine-gun vocal style earned him the nickname "The Mouth of the South." One of the most recognizable wrestling personalities of the past three decades, Hart was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2005, in an outstanding class which included Hulk Hogan, "Rowdy" Roddy Piper, the Iron Sheik, Nikolai Volkoff, "Cowboy" Bob Orton and Paul "Mr. Wonderful" Orndorff.
Another Hart with a Hall of Fame pedigree will be competing at "Unity." Teddy Hart, a former WWE competitor whose grandfather was the late Stu Hart, will be taking on sensational Joey Janela in a "3 Stages of Hell Match." Stage 1 is a One Fall match, Stage 2 is a Tables Match and Stage 3 is a Falls Count Anywhere match.
Longtime regional star Jonny Idol, who will be inducted into the New England Pro Wrestling Hall of Fame next spring, is putting his career in the promotion on the line, challenging "Smart" Mark Sterling for the Bedlam championship. If Idol fails to capture the title, he will be forced to retire from Blitzkrieg! Pro.
A seven-man scramble match, featuring ECW Original Little Guido aka Nunzio, will take place, as well as a variety of matches featuring some of the best young talent in the Northeast. Performers scheduled to appear include Briggs, Skylar, The Closers, John Silver, Massage NV, Travis Huckabee, RJ Rude, Mike Graca, The Breakfast Club and many more.
"We have everything. Absolute legends in Foley and Jimmy Hart, some of the most buzz-worthy guys on the indies in Janela, Teddy Hart and John Silver, and some of the hungriest up and comers you may not have heard of yet," Leary said.
Tickets begin at $20, and may be ordered at www.blitzkriegpro.com.
Bell time is scheduled for 7 p.m.
Any businesses interested in sponsoring the event or donating door prizes may email blitzkriegpromedia@gmail.com.
