A Proposal for ID-Checkers at Enfield Public Schools
The school board will review the proposal on Tuesday.

The school board will consider a proposal to hire ID checkers for Enfield public schools in an effort to resolve the dilemma caused by the board’s previous votes to not renew a contract for armed security guards for the coming school year.
The board will meet Tuesday afternoon to discuss Suprerintendent Jeffrey Schumann’s proposal to hire part-time workers who would open doors for visitors, check their IDs and sign them in, according to The Courant.
School resource officers from Enfield Police will continue to be assigned to the town’s middle and high schools.
