Public Hearing Scheduled on Middle School Reconstruction Plan in Enfield

Public input is being sought concerning the proposed $95 million project.

ENFIELD, CT — A public hearing concerning a proposed $95 million referendum to reconstruct John F. Kennedy Middle School has been scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 5.

The hearing will begin at 6:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers at Town Hall, 820 Enfield Street.

A legal notice issued to the media states the hearing is being held to allow public input on the proposed "appropriation of $95,000,000 for the reconstruction and renovation of the John F. Kennedy School and to authorize the issuance of bonds, notes, or temporary notes in an amount not to exceed $35,500,000 with the balance funded by grants and other available funds."
