Raiders Even the Score With Fermi
Enfield volleyball team avenges last week's loss to Falcons with 3-0 victory.
On May 10, the Fermi High School boys volleyball defeated crosstown rival Enfield in four close games, with a total of four points separating the two squads.
Nine days later - different day, different venue, different result. Enfield dominated play from the outset in the rematch on its home court, sweeping the Falcons 3-0 Thursday.
Game scores were 25-14, 25-18 and 25-14.

"Our play at the net has become a lot stronger. We've been working on it, and it's been paying off," Enfield coach Judy Joslin said.
Jeremy Chevalier led the winning effort with eight kills and 10 blocks. Zach Thurston had nine kills and three blocks, Hugh Lindo had nine kills and eight blocks, and Mark Sanzo had seven kills and eight blocks. Tyler deMontigny set up the front line with 31 assists.

For Fermi, Josh Cheney had five kills and four blocks, while Cody Brown had four kills and 10 assists.
"We've still got a long way to go, we've got a tournament to play and hopefully we'll play them one more time," Fermi coach Alex Pyznar said.
Enfield (10-5) entertains Hall Monday at 5 p.m., while Fermi (11-4) plays host to East Hartford Tuesday at 5 p.m.
