Raiders Spike Glastonbury, 3-1

Strong frontline play sparks Enfield victory in boys volleyball action.

Hugh Lindo had 14 kills and eight blocks, powering Enfield to a 3-1 win over Glastonbury in high school boys volleyball action Tuesday in Enfield.

Game scores were 25-16, 25-19, 23-25 and 25-23.

"This was a big win for us," Enfield coach Judy Joslin said. "The boys played well, we were strong at the net. We've been working on our defense in practice, and it showed tonight."

Joining Lindo as forces up front were Jeremy Chevalier with 13 kills, and Zach Thurston and Mark Sanzo, who had nine kills apiece. Tyler deMontigny set up the front line with 41 assists.

Enfield (9-5) looks to avenge a May 10 defeat at the hands of crosstown rival Fermi, hosting the Falcons Thursday at 5 p.m.
