Raymond D. Fuller, 77; Longtime Enfield Resident, U.S. Air Force Veteran Who Was Professional Truck Driver

Calling hours will be held Wednesday, Sept. 24 with the funeral scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 25.

Raymond D. Fuller, of Enfield, beloved husband of Theresa (Izzo) Fuller for 55 years, entered into eternal peace surrounded by his family at his home Sunday Sept. 21, 2014. He was 77.

Ray was born in Pittsfield, MA, March 20, 1937, and was the son of the late Harold and Sophia (Bulsa) Fuller.

He had lived in Enfield for 50 years and was a member of Holy Family Church. Ray was a U.S. Air Force veteran who served his country honorably. He was a professional truck driver for most of his life and at the end of his career was the personal driver for Mr. Charlie Kaman.

Ray enjoyed birds, gardening, and model trains. He was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed country western music. Most important to him, was the time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren, whom he loved and cherished.

Besides his wife Theresa, Ray is survived by four children, Bonnie Cairo and her fiancé Anthony Paone of Enfield, Bennett Fuller of Enfield and his significant other Lynne Mitchell of Wilbraham, MA, Doug Fuller and his wife Nichole of Enfield, and Danny Fuller and his fiancé Barbara Martin Ouellette of Windsor Locks; a sister, Marie Hespeline of Steventown, NY; five grandchildren, Jody Cairo, DJ Cairo, Ashley Fuller, Dale Fuller, and Samantha Fuller; a great-granddaughter, Brianna Gilberto. He also leaves several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited for calling hours from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 24 at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Rd., Enfield. The funeral procession will from at 9 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 25 at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels for A Mass of Christian Burial to be held at 10 a.m. at Holy Family Church, Enfield. Committal, with military honors, will follow at St. Patrick’s King St. Cemetery.
